Way back in the late 40s of the 20th century, a group of photography enthusiasts got together to meet at every weekend in  the Government information center at Murray Street, Seremban. To these "round table conferences" they brought along their "masterpieces" for general view and criticism so as to promote the art of photography in good fellowship. With this objective in mind, the Negeri Sembilan Camera club was formed in 1951. After a lengthy process the club was finally registered on the 29th. December 1955, it was renamed to "The Photographic Society of Negeri Sembilan Malaysia" later.
